Microblading OR Nano Brow
Microblading uses a manual hand tool to create fine hair-like strokes that replicate natural growth. This technique offers a soft, realistic finish and is best suited for clients who want subtle enhancement. Touch-ups are typically recommended every 12 to 18 months. Microblading is not ideal for oily skin or for clients seeking correction work. Nano on the other hand is created using a machine and needle cartridge to replicate a hairstroke appearance. This technique is more universal in terms of candidacy. Machine stroke maintenance is recommended between 24- 48 months. Results vary by client.
Understanding Microblading as a "Tattoo"
Any method that implants pigment into the skin is considered a tattoo. Terms such as permanent cosmetics, micropigmentation, microstroking, microshading, microblading, nano, and eyebrow embroidery all describe forms of cosmetic tattooing. Pigment placement into the dermis defines the process as a tattoo, even when the result appears soft and natural.
Why Microblading Has a Shorter Wear Time
Microblading deposits a lighter amount of pigment compared to fully shaded or solid fill brow techniques. This creates a delicate and natural look but results in a shorter duration of visible color.
Powder Brow OR "Microshading"
A powder brow enhances the brow with soft shading that adds depth, dimension, and a refined makeup-inspired finish. This technique offers longer wear than microblading, with touch-ups typically recommended every 24 to 48 months. Microshading is a synonymous term for the same technique. Results vary by client.
Combination Brow OR Hybrid Brows
Combination brows merge hair stroke detailing with shading to provide both natural texture and enhanced fullness. This approach offers more dimension than microblading alone, with touch-ups usually recommended every 18 to 36 months. Results vary by client.
